2018: Started the season with the Colorado Rapids, appearing in five regular season games, including three starts… Also started one U.S. Open Cup game as well as a game with the Colorado Springs Switchbacks, in the USL… Acquired by the Impact on August 8 from the Rapids, in return for a fourth round pick in the 2020 MLS SuperDraft… Played eight games, including one start, and 723 minutes with the Impact… Scored his first career goal with the Impact and in MLS on September 22, against New York City FC… Selected once the Videotron Player of the Game… Reached 75 career starts in MLS on September 1, against the Red Bulls, and 100 career games in MLS on October 21 against Toronto… Option exercised by the Impact on November 26.

2017: Finished third on the Colorado Rapids with 2,569 minutes, tied for third with 30 games played and fourth with 28 starts, in his second season with the team… Recorded assists on July 4 against Seattle and August 26 against Real Salt Lake… Scored a goal in a U.S Open Cup game, against FC Dallas.

2016: Finished tied for second on the Colorado Rapids with 31 games played et third with 28 starts and 2,503 minutes… Part of the best defense in Major League Soccer, giving up only 32 goals in 34 games… Registered an assist on October 8 against Houston… Appeared in three MLS Cup Playoff games, starting two… Also started one Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup game.

2015: Appeared in 11 regular season games with Seattle, including eight starts, and 727 minutes, in his second MLS season… Played one MLS Cup Playoff game and one U.S. Open Cup game…  Played four Concacaf Champions League games, starting three… Also started three of four USL games with S2… Option not exercised by the Sounders FC on December 2… Selected by the Colorado Rapids with the second overall pick in the MLS Waiver Draft, on December 9.

2014: Signed with the Seattle Sounders FC, in MLS, on March 6… Part of the Sounders FC’ team that won the Supporters’ Shield, awarded to the team atop the MLS standings… Appeared in 14 regular season games, including six starts, and 606 minutes… Played his first MLS games on Match 23, in Montreal… Played four MLS Cup Playoff games, starting one… Helped Seattle win the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, playing in three games in the tournament, with one start, despite appearing in the final.

2013: Recorded six goals and two assists in 31 regular season games, including 20 starts, in his second season with the Charleston Battery… Also scored twice in two USL Playoffs starts… Started two U.S. Open Cup games.

2012: Joined the Charleston Battery, in USL, helping the club win the USL Playoff Championship with the game-winning goal in a 1-0 win over the Wilmington Hammerheads… Appeared in 14 USL regular season games, one USL Playoff game and one U.S. Open Cup game.

INTERNATIONAL
Played four games with the Uganda national team, making his senior debut on November 12, 2016, against Congo… Also played two games in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.

AMATEUR
2010-2011: Played two seasons with the Mississippi Brilla, in the USL PDL.

COLLEGE
Played three years with Lindsey Wilson College, from 2008 to 2010… Named to the Conference All-Conference Team in 2008 and part of the NAIA National Championship team in 2009… Played his senior season for the University of Mobile, finishing with two goals and four assists while appearing in all 20 matches.

YOUTH
Played for youth side Sports Club Villa, in Kampala, Uganda, from 13 to 19 years old.

PERSONAL
Son of Charles and Rebecca Nabusigo… Azira is the last name of his paternal grandfather… Married to Callaghan and they have a son, Gabriel, and a daughter, Noa-Grace… Has four brothers, Alex, Ronald, Elisha and Joel, and a sister, Suzan… All his brothers played professional soccer in Uganda… Majored in Business from the University of Mobile… Holds his U.S. permanent residency.
