PHILIPPE GERMAIN

In 2009, Philippe Germain will undertake his 12th year covering the Montreal Impact, as an analyst for the Impact on both CKAC (2003-2005) and XM Radio Satellite (2006). In 2007, he became the sports analyst for the Impact on Sport Extra, the sport network for Radio-Canada on Sirius radio, then he took over the same responsibilities the following year this time on the television network, co-hosting with Marie-Josée Turcotte. In the summer of 2008, he colour commentated water polo tournaments and wrestling during Pékin Summer Olympics, on Radio-Canada. Holder of a bachelor degree in journalism from the University of Concordia, Philippe Germain was also a writer in chief for the monthly magazine Québec Soccer (1998-2001).
GUILLAUME DUMAS
Analyst

Guillaume Dumas is a reporter for the daily newspaper Le Soleil since June 2002 and writes a weekly column on international soccer since 2004, which is also published in the Montréal daily La Presse since fall 2006. During the last World Cup in Germany, he was correspondent for Le Soleil, La Presse, and also for the radio station Énergie. His earlier work experience includes one year as business reporter in Angoulème, France, in 2001. In that same year, he obtained a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Laval University.

JEAN-PHILIPPE BERTRAND

A true sports fan, Jean-Philippe Bertrand lived his dream of becoming a professional athlete through sports journalism, giving him the opportunity to work with the major leagues. Jean-Philippe holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and started his career as the voice of the Laval University Rouge et Or football team. Then, he worked as journalist at CKAC, TVA, RDS and XM Radio Satellite, where he covered the Montreal Canadiens for two years. Jean-Philippe then became the voice of the Ottawa Senators in April 2007, having described on this occasion the Stanley Cup final.
FRANCIS MILLIEN
Analyst

Francis Millien, was assistant coach for the Montreal Impact from 1996 to 1998. He has acquired since 1974 extensive experience as a sports analyst for television, radio and written media. He has been analyst for various sports on Radio-Canada, RDS, TVS and TVSQ. He has analysed FIFA World Cups, Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games, PanAm Games, Canada Games and Quebec Games, as well as Manic matches. He is a Member of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee, as well as responsible of the Technical Committee, for the Quebec Soccer Federation since 2004. More recently, Francis Millien was the president of the Organizing Committee for the U20 World Cup on the Montreal site. He was also the soccer technical authority for the City of Montreal, from 1974 to 2004. He received the Dollard-Morin recreation and sports volunteering Award from the Quebec Government in 2007.

BRIAN WILDE
Play by play

Brian Wilde started his broadcast career in Edmonton where he worked as a sports announcer. He was host of the Edmonton Oilers broadcasts for three years. He was also a professor at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology. In 1995, he joined the CFCF sports team.
GRANT NEEDHAM
Analyst

Grant Needham is the Impact’s game analyst on English-radio since 2003. Grant played for the Impact during six seasons, from 1993 to 1998. As a forward, he scored 19 goals and added 14 assists for a total of 52 points in 81 games and 5,743 minutes of play. He was named to the A-League First All-Star Team in 1995 and is team builder since 2007.
NOEL BUTLER
Analyst

Noel has been THE TEAM 990’s soccer analyst since 2002. He hosts Oranges @ Halftime, the longest continually running soccer show on the radio in the country. Away from his radio duties, Noel is a consultant in the soccer industry, specializing in public relations. He is a brand advocate for Impact apparel partner, Puma.
